The baselayer built for a slide

We designed and manufactured The Supershirt to provide CE AA abrasion protection for motorcyclists in the lightest, most comfortable layer possible.

It feels like a baselayer but performs like a protective jacket.

Tough like leather. Light as a feather.

Crash proven

We hired a stuntman to crash his motorcycle on an airfield at 40mph while wearing The Supershirt. Watch the film to find out what happened.

Freedom to wear as much or as little as you like

By wearing your CE AA protection FIRST, motorcyclists have the freedom to layer up or down based on the conditions. You are no longer relying on your big bulky outer jacket for protection.

"I want to thank AS for The Supershirt, I've had mine a couple of years now and it's been making my on and off road biking a far more comfortable affair.

In August a mate and I went on a little trip to the Alps on our street bikes to Morzine to ride downhill mountain bikes in the park for the day. Great ride there, gets to Morzine, rented a couple of bikes and hit the lifts.

I properly binned it slamming my shoulder (which I'd dislocated 8 times and had 2 operations on) into a berm. I picked myself up convinced the arm would be off or at least have a broken collarbone but got away with severe bruising and possible ACL extension thanks in no small part to The Supershirt.

I was able to continue riding through Switzerland and France back home though my buddy did have to do the zip up on the Supershirt for me. I badly damaged my knee pads and gloves in the crash but the supershirt was made of sterner stuff.

Cannot recommend them enough, there's nothing else as good out there, brilliant product."

Level 2 armour

The Supershirt features the new Adventure Spec Flow level 2 armour. The elbow and shoulder armour is extremely light, flexible and breathable.

Unlike 'flat armour' alternatives, Flow shoulder and elbow armour retains its body mapped shape and stays in place while riding. It is thin, extremely comfortable and creates a feeling of confidence.

Abrasion protection and comfort

The Supershirt fabric is a blend of Ultra High Density Polyethylene (UHDPE), nylon 6.6, elastane and silver ion yarn.

  • The UHDPE is 15 times stronger than steel and provides previously unheard of level of abrasion resistance in a fabric of this weight.
  • Nylon 6.6 provides strength, comfort and durability.
  • Elastane provides a comfortable level of stretch that helps The Supershirt fit a wide range of body shapes.
  • Silver Ion Yarns reduce bacterial build up helping The Supershirt stay fresher for longer.

Tough & durable

The Supershirt is NOT stab proof, but the UHDPE fabric is very tough. We tried to cut ours so you don't have to.

Thumb loops

CE certification requires sleeve armour to stay in place. Thumb loops prevent the Supershirt sleeves from riding up and add an extra layer of abrasion protection over your palm / scaphoid.

Michael also wears The Trailhead Jersey and Dirt Gloves.

Side zip

Locating the zip on the side of The Supershirt allows us to use a solid chest plate armour that provides unbroken protective coverage.

"The Supershirt is incredibly comfortable. I'm 190cm tall, weigh 93kg, and wear a size L. The removable protection makes it easy to wash. I ride in 30+ degree temperatures and barely sweat. It’s breathable and offers great ventilation. I highly recommend the Supershirt to everyone. "

- Loic

Cut long

The Supershirt is cut purposefully long allowing for a generous amount of material to be tucked deep into your riding pants / trousers increasing abrasion protection coverage.

Chris wears The Linesman Pant.

Strong seams

All seams on The Supershirt are double stitched for strength and tear resistance. This is a required element for passing CE AA certification.

Breathable

The Supershirt benefits from an open knit material construction that allows air to flow freely through the garment. When you are riding you feel the air flow against your skin.

The UHDPE material used is hydrophobic, it does not absorb water. Sweat build up passes through the shirt and wicks away.

The protective outer layer and comfortable inner layer are woven together which means that the material will not delaminate after washing. The Supershirt can be washed without armour at 30 degrees C.

All body shapes

The elastane construction of The Supershirt results in a very stretchy fit. This makes it very versatile and able to fit a range of different body shapes, from slim, to athletic to larger bodies and bellies.

Supershirt XL/2XL/3XL sizes feature a larger back protector pocket that can receive our large level 2 Flow back protector.

Women's fit

The Supershirt comes in one fit and a wide range of sizes, from XS to 3XL. It is designed to cover a wide range of body shapes and sizes.

A growing community of female riders are discovering that The Supershirt is a great CE AA baselayer that frees them from the narrow range of women's motorcycle jackets.

You can wear The Supershirt and then whatever other riding or outdoors gear you like over the top.

"I have been using armored shirts for the last couple of years but I’ve always felt uncomfortable not having an anti abrasion layer during rallies or off road event unless of putting over the armored shirt a jacket. The supershirt has totally solved this problem, now it is my main armored layer for almost any trip I do on or off road.

I was concern of overheating but it does a great job even in the italian summer. Obviously it is hotter than a normal off-road shell but it is very breathable and considering it weights almost the same and it does a great job on body moisture control much better than the plastic shells I think it is a good trade off.

I even tested it on a motocross trail and I’ve came out great with no overheating."

"Without doubt the most useful bit of kit AS sell. It’s light. It’s comfortable. It’s warm/cool. It doesn’t end up under your chin and throttle you. It’s flexible. On a recent trip in Spain I wore it with just a shirt over the top. In colder climes it’s the perfect base layer. It’s brilliant. Buy one. You will not regret it."
